Cat Fancier

3:38 AM 5 Comments
When you first take a look at this, it might seem like a strange title.
Let me explain.  I made this for a challenge that challenged us to use a title of a paper line and we had to use the paper line name as our TITLE.
I chose to use BOARDING PASS from October Afternoon.

A couple of weeks ago, we rescued this kitty from a storm drain under the street about 2 hours from where we lived.

I have fallen in love with her, and named her Luna, sadly, we can't keep her.
Thanks to allergies the hubby has:(

What do you think of my fat black cat?  She is made entirely from Scalloped Circles and some smaller circle punches.

Another part of the challenge for this page was that I needed to use at least 3 colors from the paper line who'd title I am using.  Here is the palette I was working with.

The other dies I used on this layout were:
Fanciful Flourish
Scare Me

I hope you like what I have made today.
Thanks for stopping by.

Get ready for fall!

1:30 AM 4 Comments
Hello! Liz here with my final post designing for Cheery Lynn Designs. It has been a sure pleasure and joy working along side this amazing DT. And the dies...oh my gosh, I can never use any other now! I just love them.
I don't know about you but I've got Fall fever! I love waking up to the crisp cool air and seeing the leaves begin to change. I made a layout using the super-detailed Dimensional Leaves.

I arranged the leaves as if they are floating off the Autumn tree. To make the tree I used several sized circles from the Little Stackers Nesting Dies. I used the twig shaped arms from the Frosty The Snowman die to make a few branches. (I love that trick:))

Other dies used on this layout:
Basic Optimistic Font alphas
Grass Border
Never Ending Love Hearts
Apple

I just HAD to make a Halloween card using some of Cheery Lynn Design's cute Halloween dies.

The Silly Spider is just adorable, I couldn't wait to use him. I hung him from a string (think web) and centered him in a black English Tea Party Doily die.

Well, that's all from me! Its been fun!!!!

Scandinavian Hearts frame and Medallion

3:30 AM 6 Comments

My card for Cheery Lynn Designs today uses this adorable Forest Elf digi from Spesch Rubber Stamps. I started with Cheery Lynn Designs new Scandinavian Hearts die; it cuts this beautiful frame and also the wonderful medallion you see under the flower that I die cut with  Judy's Blooms.  I used my Victorian Romance Flourish to add the swirled flourishes.  Some Viva Decor Pearl pen accents and I was done.  The plaid paper is Stampin Up; the dotted is from the Basic Grey Nordic Holiday.  Finished size is 6x6 inches.

Romantic card II - Kianel

3:30 AM 8 Comments
Hello dear Cheery Lynn Designs lovers!

Kianel here with you to present a nother romantic card i made using a Magnolia stamp and Graphic 45 papers. All the dies are from Cheery Lynn Designs of course. Here is the card:

I used the XL square stackers as a base and then the dutch scalloped square frame that i used as a diamond and added little half pearls in each corner. To make it cut all the details easily i used the great Cuttlebug adaptor plate and then used the Crafter's tools set to remove all the little pieces. What a clever tool these are!!!!

The center piece of the dutch scalloped square frame also has been inked and used in the middle on the back of my stamp. I just glued the center and torned the borders a little to make it pop up a bit.

on the upper left corner i made a clustering using the Fanciful flourish die that i painted with Creative Inspirations shimmer paints, the brand new Stacker flower #1 leaf and the little flower from the Judy's blooms die that i put under a small cherry flower.

To make my sentiment, i used a stamp from the aud designs collection and a Little circle stackers. Under it, i used 2 brand new Stacker flowers # 4, one inked and the other not.
Here i used one of the Exotic butterfly small die and combined it with the Mini angel wings. Inked and added some half pearls on it too. it also looks as it is popping up from the crad because i only glued the center parts.

That's all for me for today and i'll come back here next tuesday for another project using the marvellous Cheery Lynn Designs dies! Love from France, Kianel.

Autumn Is Here...

3:30 AM 10 Comments
...and so is my last post as a Cheery Lynn Designs DT member. Good day everyone! Tanisha here and for my last post, I'm sharing 2 Fall cards. Fall started here in the States just a few days ago. Though I'm sad to see Summer go, Fall's beauty is enough to kick me out of my funk.

My first card celebrates Halloween . I used Pink Paislee papers and Cheery Lynn Designs Going Batty, Nested Circle Stackers, and Victorian Picket Fence to add a few fun touches to the patterned paper.

I used Core'dinations cardstock and Coved Rectangle Nested Stackers, Dimensional Small Leaves 1, and Burlap Embossing Plate to create this card. Although I didn't use any patterned paper on this card, the dry and heat embossing and dimensional leaves really make it pop!

I have had a pleasure designing projects for Cheery Lynn Designs over the past few months. I wish the new and exiting DT members the best of luck!

Don't be a stranger, swing by my personal blog anytime. I love visitors!

New Team members and sad goodbyes

3:30 AM 7 Comments
Sadly we are saying goodbye to three of our team members this next week.  Irit Shalom on Sunday, Tanisha Long on Monday and Liz Chidester on Thursday.  Please stop by to wish them well and thank them for their fabulous creations for Cheery Lynn Designs over the last 10 months.  They have inspired and delighted us with their creativity.

The following week will start our new team, Jeannie, Kianel and myself will be joined by Donna, Jodi, Marley and Sandie.  I would like to introduce the new members to you today.

Donna Smith  "I've been crafting for 4½ years, I started off scrapbooking, using my dog as my subject and then moved onto cardmaking and  decoupage as most people do, and eventually got into stamping. I am quite the collector of rubber stamps, papers, dies, punches ....basically anything craft related. I also design papers for crafting, and have been doing that for 4½ years as well. My style of cardmaking is similar to scrapbooking, in that I love to fill the front with lots to look at, as in flowers, ribbon, embellishments,  you name it, I love to stick it on the front of my card. I don't do clean and simple very well, as the card looks bare to me. I've been using Cheery Lynn dies since I first discovered them in the spring, and I love all the intricate details that are on the dies, and I love adding one or more to my cards. I'm originally from Canada and moved to England back in the summer of 1999.......and I still miss the hot summers of Saskatchewan. I'm married to a wonderful understanding man, who lets me indulge in this expensive hobby of mine, and will often come up with ideas for me, and if it requires measuring weird angles, etc........he's the one to help me out. We have four wonderful grandchildren and a super intelligent Jack Russell named Kody."

Jodi Baune  "I am a dedicated, fun-loving country girl with two boys ages18 and 22, and an amazing husband.  I am very blessed that they are extremely supportive of my hobby.  I am the shy,
quiet type...most of the time :) I am a weird mix of girly girl and tom boy. Pedicures are awesome, but I'm not afraid to dip my pretty toes in a puddle or two! Pretty much, I am just the girl next door. During the day  I tend to seven precious small children by operating a daycare business in my home.  Some of my other interests include gardening, reading, and browsing through antique shops for inspiration.I love vintage!
"

Sandie Louise  "What a wonderful opportunity to be working with Cheery Lynn Designs on their Design Team!  My name is Sandie and I live in one of Australia’s many mining districts – in Geraldton, Western Australia.   I’m a Criminologist (with an artistic flair), though currently a stay at home Mother to our son Jesse, aged 17 months.   My partner John works in the Mining industry, so we tend to have the opportunity to move around, and see new parts of Australia from time to time.  I originate from an extremely artistic family, and for as long as I can remember I have dabbled creatively in a wide variety of crafts. My paper-craft journey begun over a decade ago, however I only briefly dabbled up until the birth of my son.  The last 9 months has seen my love of ‘paper’ grow to the extent my ‘hobby’ has over-taken the house, and our Burmese cat has developed a major paper fetish!  Recently, I have found myself wanting to stretch the imagination, create something different, and push boundaries by stepping out of my comfort zone, via any means possible.  I enjoy “all” forms of paper-craft and my preferred style would lean more towards vintage/romantic/shabby chic, though not always."

Welcome ladies, I look forward to working with each of you.

Romantic card - Kianel

3:25 AM 6 Comments
Hi Cheery Lynn Designs lovers!
Kianel here with you today with a romantic card I made using some of the newest released dies from Cheery Lynn Designs. The papers are from Graphic 45, the inks from Colorbox and Distress, dies from Cheery Lynn Designs and the stamp is coming from a german company LA BLANCHE which makes the most beautiful stamps in a vintage style.
To make the base of my card i used the XL square stackers. I then took my favourite die ever: the polynesian sails oval. This die is absolutely divine and it sure looks like it's lace all around. On this card, i chose not to take away all the little details of the die but only some to make a variation. That way, you can make plenty of different models just with one die! To embellish my roses, I used the cherry blossoms die (the biggest one) that i inked and bent a little. The pair of ferns die was fitting perfectly behind the flowers and i also made a lace ribbon using 2 Anastasia borders upside down.
So here is the card:

Here is a close up of the cherry blossoms die under the rose and the beautiful pair of ferns die:

Here is a close up of the lace ribbon i made using 2 Anastasia borders dies. You can also see the details of the polynesian sails oval die that i chose to leave on the die.

Well i hope that you are all okay and that you are coming here every day to admire the beautiful treasures that my talented DT mates make every day on this blog. I will be back tuesday for my usual post and i take the opportunity to thank Jeannie who has been so sweet to switch day with me! Lots of love from France, Kianel.

Apple Of My Eye

3:30 AM 4 Comments
Well, hello! Liz here to share another layout using dies from my favorite die company. For this project I kept the design very simple because I wanted the focus to be on the dies.

I used several of the flourishes and flower dies to create this flowing cluster of goodness. ;)

I added the apple, heart and key die to pull my theme all together.

I used the beautiful flourish ends of the gorgeous Lace Rose and Flourish die on either side of my floral cluster to draw an end with the eye.

Other dies used:
French Flair Nesting Die
Snowflake Edger
Garden Gate
Darling Daisies
Sweet Williams Flower
Judy's Blooms
Stacker Flower Leaf
Pretty Petal
Heart Chain Border

Till next week, have a fabulous day!

Spiderweb Window card

3:30 AM 12 Comments
One of the great things about Cheery Lynn Designs dies is the ability to cut window openings in your card and make frames to edge the opening.

I began by nesting a Cheery Lynn Designs Circle Stackers die inside a Scallop Circle Stackers die to cut two orange frames for my window .  Next I added this great paper from Authentique's Glowing 6x6 paper pad to my orange card base.  I centered a Silver Circle Stacker and die cut my window.  Using the same die, I cut an acetate panel for the window.  I glued one of the scalloped circle frames onto the card front, then added Cheery Lynn Design's new Spiderweb die cut on top.  I inserted the acetate panel and then added the other frame to the back side of the card front, creating the window.  I die cut a couple of Bats and popped them up on the front of the card. For the inside of my card using Adobe Photoshop Elements,  I combined two digi images from Make It Crafty, Eerie Scene and  Mini Headless Horseman.

I added a gradient background before printing the image onto Cryogen white paper with my inkjet printer.  Copics used:
Fence - E42, E43
Pumpkins - YR61, YR65, YR68, W1
Cape - C1, C2, C4, C5, C6
Pants and Shirt - V12, V15, V17
Boots - C5
Vines and Leaf - YG61, YG63
Stems - E44

The checkered DP on the inside is from the same Authentique Glowing paper pack.  I need to find an appropriate saying to finish off the inside of the card.  Finished size is 6" square.

Vintage Touch with some more New Release Dies

6:05 AM 5 Comments
Hello, it is me Jeannie on a Tuesday.  I am helping a DT member and we have traded days, just for this week.  This is somewhat of a combined post for me as I have made this project to coincide with my Sweet Stamps.com project.
Normally I make cards for Sweet Stamps, but today our theme was ANYTHING BUT A CARD.
So, I made a Scrapbook page.

I have put so many fun things on this layout I do not know where to begin.

All my flowers are made with our new STACKER FLOWERS.

In addition to the Stacker Flowers, I have also used the following dies:

That Gorgeous floral swag is Sweet Stamp's
By cutting of the oval outline, I was able to create these floral swags.

Here is a side view to see all the dimension in our new Flower Stackers.

These flowers are just gorgeous and so easy to assemble.

The saying is from a song by a funny little group called Edward Sharp and the Magnetic Zeroes.
The line I used is "Home is wherever I'm with you."

My hubby and I just had this picture takes at his 30th high school reunion last weekend.  It was the perfect picture for this layout that just dreamed up.

I hope you have enjoyed my post today.  I had so much fun putting it all together.
I will be back next Friday with another fun project, so until then..bye for now.
This has been Jeannie with The Polka Cabana with today's post.

Smile...it's Monday!

3:30 AM 6 Comments
Good day Cheery Lynn Designs blog readers!! It's Tanisha here with my second to last post as a DT member. I can't tell you how many times I've smiled as a result to opening up a DT package that was filled with wonderful Cheery Lynn Designs awesomeness. So I've created a card in honor of that happy feeling!!

I mixed a few new and previously released dies and created a faux embossed look with the Lattice 1 die by cutting it out of the same color paper as the background that I adhered it to.

Here's a close-up of the details.

Dies used:
Luggage Tag
Darling Daisies
Stacker Flower 2
Leaf
Victorian Romance Flourish
Lattice 1

Thanks for stopping by the blog today. Until next post...have a scrappy day!!

The first one is this mini cards holder made with 2 dies: my very much favorite Border Carnivale and 2 dies for the title spot from Little Stackers Ovals and Little Stackers Scalloped Oval set.
